- What is Homeopathy?
- Homeopathy is a system that encourages the body to heal itself. Symptoms of ill health are pattern matched with a homeopathic remedy to restore energy balance. Homeopathy is not herbalism and is not a cure-all. Single remedies may be used serially or together, depending on their pharmacological action and provide an excellent adjunct to dental treatment planning.
- What is homotoxicology?
- Homotoxicology is an integrative therapy of homeopathy and conventional remedies. This system was developed by Dr Hans Heinrich Reckeweg in 1960. He developed a classification of the body’s reaction to toxins or body poisons. Homotoxicological products are usually complex products formulated to deliver up to twelve remedies in differing potencies in one treatment.
Benefits
Safety
- Is homeopathy safe?
- Yes - providing the homeopathic remedies are properly prescribed and taken as instructed. Homeopathic remedies can be used in pregnancy, for babies and young children. The elderly also benefit because homeopathic remedies can be integrated with conventional drug regimes.
Tailored Individual Treatment
- What does a homeopath need to know about the patient?
- A detailed medical and family history plus details of your complaint and how it affects your lifestyle. An integrated approach using both conventional and complementary products is encouraged. Dental records may be requested from your dental practitioner.
Easy to Use
- What does homeopathic treatment involve?
- Medicines are usually prescribed in liquid drops, tablets, pilules or powder form to be taken orally under the tongue. Oral/written instructions will be given with the prescription. You stop taking the remedies when you feel better. It is important to tell your homeopath when you start or stop taking conventional products as well.
Integration with Conventional Medicines
- Do I need to tell my dentist or medical GP?
- Please discuss your treatment with your dentist and medical GP if you think it appropriate. Permission to contact your dentist and medical GP will be sought. Routine clinical tests via your medical GP may be recommended. Private laboratory tests may be requested, if necessary.
All data is confidential.
Excellent Shelf Life
- How do I keep homeopathic products?
- Please keep your remedies dry, cool and in a safe place away from children. Make sure that remedies are well away from mobile phones, microwave, TV and computers. Keep remedies away from herbal and aromatic oils. Homeopathic remedies travel very well and will pass through airport scanners without being affected.
- EU Licensed
- All homeopathic products are manufactured and licensed under the pharmaceutical guidelines of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulation Agency (MHRA). Despite the fact that homeopathic remedies have an excellent shelf life, they are still date coded and treated the same as conventional pharmaceuticals.
